Justnes is a small farm community located between the city of Kristiansand and the Kjevik airport in the southern part of Norway.
On 9 April 1940 Norway was invaded by Germany.
After just a couple of days Deutsche Wehrmacht came to Justnes, and moved in to the farm house on Hauen
with soldiers and gun technicians from Luftwaffe.
They established a heavy Flak battery consisting of four 8,8 cm anti aircraft guns, and four 2 cm anti aircraft guns.
This was one of the most powerful Flak batteries in the surrounding of Kjevik airport.
The picture shows the technicians checking out the elevation springs of an 8,8 cm Flak during commissioning in the spring of 1940.
